Our Lord Jesus in the high priestly prayer prayed to the Father whom the Father had chosen. All that the Father gave the Son, none is lost but all are safe under God's protection and no one can separate them from the love of God. We who are the Lord's can now confidently sing, "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear?"
