"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7
The nation of Israel constantly sinned against God and provoked Him to anger in the days of prophet Isaiah, and the prophet had an important message to the nation. He was willing to wash the sin of the people if they only came to Him with a repentant heart and give up all their evil ways. Yet the people would not. When we apply the message of salvation to our lives, we see God inviting everyone to the light and to turn to Christ. It is the blood of Christ which cleanses us from all sin. He paid it all and there is nothing more to pay or do.
