People often ask why did God take the form of flesh and die on a old rugged cross? Did God not have any other way? The answer is found in the scripture that man is helpless to save himself and only God could save him. The heart is deceitful above all things and no matter how hard we try to be good, deep within us is a fallen sin nature. And all have sinned and there is none righteous. We all fall short of the glory of God. Hence it took God Himself to save mankind from their sin, and He paid the price with His own sacrifice on the cross. Jesus Christ redeemed us with His blood and He makes us righteous by cleansing us from our iniquities. Praise God for His Son for making us clean!
