"Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: "For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father's house." And the name of the second he called Ephraim: "For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction." " - Genesis 41 V51, 52

"Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ." - Philippians 3 V8

We know the story of Joseph as how he was sold to slavery and suffered false accusations and also spent few years in prison. We also know that God revealed great things to Joseph and he was placed among the highest raking people in Egypt. Even under all his afflictions, Joseph decided to remain faithful to God and waited patiently for God to act. This story holds valid for every believer in Jesus Christ. We know from the Scriptures that we will face tribulations and suffer loss, and we also know from the Scriptures that all these afflictions are but for a little while. Compared to glory waiting for us in heaven, all our losses fades away. Take a moment to rejoice in the name of Lord Jesus, for it is profitable to suffer loss now and gain Christ for eternity.

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ
