"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11 "Do not fear little, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" - Luke 12:32 In the secular world around us, God is often portrayed as an angry figure, ever ready to strike when His will is opposed. Yet Scripture reveals something far different. God is our Father. Through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross, we have been adopted into His family, and by His grace we now call Him Father. This relationship is true, real, and enduring, far surpassing even the best of earthly fathers. Our Father in heaven is loving, merciful, and compassionate. His thoughts toward His children are thoughts of peace, to give us a future and a hope. It is His good pleasure to give us the kingdom. And all who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ will one day rule and reign with Him in that everlasting kingdom. Praise the Lord!
