| "...Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." - Acts 1:11
"Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." - 2 Peter 3:3, 4
At the beginning of each new year, many Christians find themselves asking whether Jesus will return in the months ahead. At the same time, scoffers, often amplified by popular media, mock the very idea of Christ’s second coming, treating it as foolishness. Sadly, even some believers have grown complacent, losing sight of the truth that our Lord can return at any moment.
But Scripture assures us that the Lord is not slack concerning His promise. His seeming delay is not neglect but mercy, for He desires that all should come to repentance and be saved from the wrath to come. His patience is an expression of His love.
Therefore, let us remain vigilant. Let us continue steadfast in prayer, holding fast to the blessed hope of the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will come again in the same manner He was seen going into heaven, and His appearing will be glorious.
Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and for the hope of His coming.
