"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff comfort me." - Psalm 23:4 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." - Luke 12:7 Fear is real, and there are many forms of fear that grip the human heart. One of the most common is the fear of death. Many people have experienced moments when they came close to death, and Scripture gives us examples of the same. King David, even as a young shepherd, faced danger repeatedly. He lived with the constant threat of lions, bears, and enemies, yet his writings reveal a heart anchored in trust. Day after day, he entrusted himself to the Lord, walking confidently even through “the valley of the shadow of death.” Our Lord Jesus also comforted His followers with the assurance that not even a single hair falls from our head apart from the Father’s will. We are held securely in His hands, and no one can snatch us out of the hand of God. Physical death is not the ultimate end for the believer. The true and final death is eternal separation from God, but those who know the Lord Jesus Christ have been delivered from that fear forever. Therefore, let us trust in the Lord with all our heart. Let us live fearlessly, not because of our strength, but because we know Him who conquered death and holds our lives in His hands. Praise the Lord!
