| "Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said: 'Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him? He who rebukes God, let him answer it.' " - Job 40:1
"Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or as His counselor has taught Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, and showed Him the way of understanding?" - Isaiah 40:13, 14
There are those, even sincere believers, who say that when they enter God’s presence, they will ask Him why He did certain things on earth the way He did. But what is often forgotten is this: God does not owe us answers or explanations. He is the all‑sovereign Lord, knowing all things and declaring the end from the beginning. When God permitted Job to suffer under Satan’s hand, He did not give Job an explanation. Instead, Job came to see the folly of his own questions and humbly acknowledged the absolute sovereignty of God. In the same way, we are called to submit fully to God’s will and trust Him with all our heart.
God does not need a counselor, nor is He seeking recommendations or advice from His creatures. Our place is to commit our lives wholly to Him. Let us turn to the Lord Jesus Christ with prayer and supplication, for He is our Good Shepherd, and He will faithfully lead us.
Praise the Lord!
