| "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." - Joshua 24:15
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." - Colossians 3:23, 24
The world offers many “gods” to serve. They may not bear that name, yet people devote their time, energy, and resources to pursuits that provide only temporary pleasure and fleeting satisfaction. In the end, every person must choose whom they will worship. Those who stand on the Lord’s side are called to a deliberate and faithful commitment to Him. Our service to our Lord Jesus Christ must flow from genuine love; love for who He is and for all He has done. Therefore, let us do all things heartily unto the Lord, offering Him our undivided devotion and serving Him alone. As Joshua declared for himself and his household, may we likewise proclaim with conviction that we will serve the Lord and Him alone.
Praise the Lord!
