"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
When we see things around us in our world, there is no peace, but the opposite. Everywhere we hear and see death, killings, and persecution. Christians are persecuted and killed for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord foretold of these things and he warned that there will be tribulation and trouble for His people. But He did not leave it there. He assured us of His peace, the peace that passeth all understanding. Christ has overcome the world. The rod and staff of our Lord will comfort us for He will never leave nor forsake us.
