"Pilate therefore said to Him, 'Are You a king then?' Jesus answered, 'You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.' " - John 18:37
"And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." - Revelation 19:16
When the wise men from east came to king Herod shortly after the birth of Jesus, they asked "Where is He who is born the King of the Jews?" (Matt. 2:2). Jesus Christ our Lord was born King of the Jews, He has always been the King Almighty for all eternity. Earthly kings are made king or inherited, but our Lord is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Every knee will bow to Him and proclaim Him King one day. When Pilate saw Jesus, he did not see any kingly features on the One who was standing before him. People did not recognize Jesus, their only Lord and King, and they crucified Him considering Him to be a threat. Jesus asked Pilate if he was speaking for himself or did others tell him about Jesus being the King. Everyone will have to answer this question: Is Jesus your King and do you believe and trust in Him? Blessed are those who put their trust in the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS.
Praise the Lord!
