"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?" - Psalm 22:1 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21 What happened on the cross of calvary cannot be described by human words or imagination. It is far beyond our comprehension. The Son of God cried out to the Father as the Father turned His face away from His Son as the sin of the whole world was imputed upon Jesus our Lord. Lord Jesus, who knew no sin became sin for us and the great exchange happened on the cross. Those who believe in Christ and trust Him (and Him alone) for salvation receive the holy righteousness of Christ. Lord Jesus was judged on the cross for the sin of the world so that those who believe in Him will not come under judgment but have eternal life. Lord Jesus pronounced victory over death by rising again on the third day, and today He gives the same hope to anyone who believes in Him. Praise the Lord!
