| "In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil." - Proverbs 16:6
"Not with the blood of goats and claves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption." - Hebrews 9:12
With His own blood Christ entered the Most Holy Place and once for all provided the atonement for the sins of His people. In the old testament, the high priest entered the most holy place of the tabernacle once a year with blood of animals to offer atonement for his sin and the sins of the people of Israel. This was symbolic of things to come and in God's sovereign plan, Christ fulfilled the requirements with His own blood permanently. By shedding His blood He provided remission for the sins of His chosen ones. By believing in Christ and trusting in His sacrifice one can receive the forgiveness of sins and redemption that Christ offers.
