"...Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." - Luke 22:42 "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2 At Gethsemane we can see the sorrow and distress of our Lord as He is praying to the Father. Jesus Christ was alone on the cross and the face of the Father was turned away from His Son as the sin of the world was laid upon the Son. Jesus emerged victorious from the grave by conquering death and today He is at the right hand of God. One day all things will be under the feet of Jesus and he will rule and reign forever. Praise the Lord!
