| "...I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" - John 11:25-26
"...'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Yes' says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.' " - Revelation 14:13
Over the course of history there are many who have died in Christ. They have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and put their trust in Him. The Bible refers to these saints as sleeping in Christ waiting for the resurrection. There are many that will be killed for the sake of Christ and these are blessed of the Lord. We mourn over the death of a loved one, and rightly so because we will miss them. But for Christians it is just a small parting until the return of our Lord. At the return of the Lord all believers will be reunited to ever be with the Lord. We have nothing to fear, not even death, because absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Jesus Christ our Lord is the resurrection and the life.
