"For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, bot Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.." - Acts 4:27-28
Jesus Christ came into the world at the appointed time and He fulfilled His mission and did everything according to the Father's will. He came for the very purpose of dying for the sins of His people. Nothing that happened was new or was not in the plan of God, but the very purpose and will of God was fully met and satisfied by the death and resurrection of our Saviour. Satan was defeated at the cross even though everyone else was thinking Jesus was defeated. Today we can look forward to the blessed hope because of the finish work of Christ our Lord.
