"Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be caught in the plots which they have devised." - Psalm 10:1-2 "And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians." - Daniel 5:25-28 When the wickedness of man rises beyond a certain point that God can tolerate, He brings judgment upon the wicked. Sometimes it may seem like God is waiting too long. Now God is longsuffering and gives time and opportunity for the wicked to repent. But after all the warnings are ignored, there appears the writing on the wall just like what happened with king Belshazzar in the days of prophet Daniel. We live in a generation which has tested the patience of God and it is just a matter of time when God will execute judgment. Even today He is longsuffering and merciful, giving time for those in sin to repent and receive His grace through His Son Jesus Christ. He has made a way of escape through Jesus Christ our Lord so anyone who believes will be spared from the coming judgment. Repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Praise the Lord!
