"Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." " - Genesis 3:4-5

"He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;" - Revelation 20:2

The first lie we see in the scriptures is recorded in the book of Genesis when Satan lies to Eve and causes her to believe the lie against God. Even today Satan is active in the business of lying and deceiving nations. He will do so until his time when he will be thrown into the lake of fire. Lying is the character of Satan. This is what our Lord said about Satan, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." (John 8:44). Only Godly wisdom gives us the discernment to identify the lies of Satan. Draw near to Jesus and He will give the wisdom we need.
Praise the Lord!
