"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another" - John 15:16-17

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love." - Ephesians 1:3-4

Rejoice! If you belong to Christ Jesus it is because He chose you. We did not make the decision but God chose us to be His children even before the foundation of the world was laid. Since our Lord chose us, we ought to walk in obedience to Him and follow Him faithfully. Our Lord has promised to be with us in all things we do for His glory. God will also give us anything we ask in our Lord's name when we seek His glory.

Rejoice for our names are written in the Book of Life; not because we deserved it but we trusted in Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
