"There is a severe evil which I have seen under the sun: Riches kept for their owner to his hurt. But those riches perish through misfortune; When he begets a son, there is nothing in his hand." - Ecclesiastes 5 V13, 14

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves  break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6 V19-21

It is vanity to earn and accumulate riches because we know that which is earthly will remain on earth but that which is done for the glory of God will remain forever in heaven. The world says, 'Let's eat, drink, and be merry, and get more and more'. This is contrary to what the Bible teaches. Our Lord said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'. Let's lay up our treasure in heaven by investing our time and resources for the cause of Christ. Invest yourselves treasure in heaven and let our heart be upon Jesus. Praise God!
