"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." - Revelation 2 V11

"He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son." - Revelation 21 V7

In the book of Revelation we repeatedly see our Lord call upon His followers to overcome the world and there are several benefits to those who overcome. It is easy to drift away from our faith and service and become engaged in the things of this world, and it is difficult to overcome the world with a sinful flesh. However, to those who overcome by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ, and living for His glory, God has promised an everlasting life and He gives them the power to become the sons of God. No man can serve two masters, like our Lord said. We can overcome the world by forsaking the world and by only serving our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!
