"Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of the riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." - Mark 4 V18, 19

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." - 1 John 2 V15

It is impossible to love the things of this world and at the same time please God. In order to follow Christ, we have to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him. The journey is rough but Christ is with us. He who overcomes shall live and reign with the Lord forever. All good things come from God, but when we get lost in the riches and do not glorify God, we are choked by the cares of this world. Do not love the world or the things in the world, but love the Son of God and give Him the preeminence in your life.
