Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has stated that Israel must hand over parts of Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians, if there is ever going to be peace in the Middle East. Livni commented in her interview with Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, that Israel's disengagement from the Gaza Strip in 2005 was not the last move the Jewish state would have to make, and that Israel had no desire to rule over the Palestinians.

Quote: "During the interview, which took place as part of the foreign minister's visit to Cairo, Livni said that the 2005 Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip was a necessary and crucial step in the peace process. Livni said that in order to complete this process and create a Palestinian state, Israel will need to withdraw from the West Bank as well. "I can assure you that Gaza is not the last step, we are convinced that to establish a Palestinian state, we have to withdraw from other areas," she said. "We do not want to control the Palestinians."

Originally former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had stated that Israel's planned disengagement from Gaza was an effort to convince Palestinians terrorist organizations to end the violence. Now we have a Palestinian government headed by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist and continues its rocket attacks against Israel to this day. I wonder if Sharon awoke from his coma, what he would make of it all. Would he be planning to hand over more territory, when it has been shown Hamas is incapable of reforming? Who knows. But what we can see is that the international community is gearing up to fulfill prophecy, in Joel and Daniel, by calling for the division of God's land. The Lord said that during the tribulation period, those that were in the locality of Judea would endure such a time of trouble that the world had never seen before. Most of Judea constitutes what we now call the West Bank. 100,000 people being uprooted from their homes by the Israeli government, the failure of the peace agreement with the Palestinians, being persecuted by the Antichrist and his armies. According to the Lord, this will be worse than the holocaust. I can't even begin to imagine it.

Matthew 24:15-21
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
