After yesterday's criticism by Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahri, Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas has reaffirmed its commitment to the "liberation of all Palestine". Al-Zawahri had criticized Hamas over the Mecca agreement with President Abbas' Fatah organization, claiming that the Islamists were softening their stance against Israel in promising to "respect" previous PLO agreement with the Jewish state. Hamas has released a statement saying that the group is still committed to the destruction of Israel.

Quote: "The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas rejected on Monday criticism by al Qaeda's second-in-command and said it was still committed to Israel's destruction despite a power-sharing deal with the Fatah faction. "We will not betray promises we made to Allah to continue the path of Jihad and resistance until the liberation of Palestine, all of Palestine," Hamas said in a statement, in a clear reference to Israel as well as to the occupied West Bank.

This statement exposes the Mecca agreement for what it is - a complete sham, and it is surprising that some European leaders are pressing the international community to ease restrictions on Hamas based on this deal. Hamas cannot and will not recognize Israel's right to exist - period. They claim all Palestinian land belongs to them, including Gaza, Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem, Israel proper and even Jordan. When are world leaders going to wake up and realize you cannot work out a political solution on the land of Israel, because you are in fact trying to barter with a demonic spirit (Satan) that is bent on the complete destruction of the Jewish people.

Joel 3:14-16
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
