"For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.' " - Romans 10:13
All the religions of the world, apart from Christianity, present some form of transaction by which man must offer something to a deity in hopes of gaining favor or forgiveness. The burden is placed on humanity to bring, to earn, or to achieve.
But the living God, the only true God, has done what no religion could ever accomplish. He Himself has paid the full price for the sin of the world, and He freely invites all to come and receive the gift of salvation without bringing anything in return. In Christianity, salvation is exclusively by grace through faith, never by works, merit, or human offering.
Everyone who is thirsty for the living waters — come. Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. The invitation is open, the gift is free, and the Savior is willing.
