"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me" - Galatians 3:20 "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." - Galatians 6:14 What, then, is our boasting in this life? Many boast in their achievements, their success, their wealth, or the material things they have gathered. These may have value for a moment, but they are not worthy of the Christian’s boast. For the believer, there is only one true glory, the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. We brought nothing into this world, and we will take nothing out. But one treasure endures forever: our salvation in Christ. Those who believe in Him will never perish but will live in His presence for all eternity. Therefore, let us live by faith in the Son of God. Let the world and all its fleeting offerings be crucified to us, and let Christ alone be our joy, our confidence, and our boast. Praise the Lord!
