"Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near." - Isaiah 55:6 "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But He answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' " - Matthew 25:11,12 Many times, before giving an invitation, a preacher will ask, “Do you know the Lord as your Lord and Savior?” Yet some respond with only a superficial faith, walking forward, saying a prayer, and then returning to a life that contradicts the very salvation they claimed to receive. Others treat the invitation as if it were a ticket to heaven, assuming that a momentary action secures eternal life. But heaven is not a ticket, it is a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a life of trusting Him fully, submitting to His authority, and following Him all our days. We are not our own; we were bought with a price, and that price was the precious blood of God’s own Son. When we believe on Him with all our heart, He receives us. He knows His own, and His own know Him. True salvation transforms the heart and redirects the life. Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Time is running out, and the day of grace will not remain open forever. Praise the Lord!
