| "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." - John 19:30
"Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption." - Hebrews 9:12
The old testament sacrifice of animals on the altar was symbolic and did not make him (the priest) who performed the service perfect in regards to the conscience, but this was to be done as a foreshadow of what was to come as a permanent sacrifice through Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ when all things were accomplished according the scripture, He said, "It is finished!" while giving up His spirit on the cross. There is nothing more required to meet God's holy standard to the sin problem. There is nothing more that need to be offered or done for the salvation on man. Christ offered once and for all His own body as a living sacrifice and He paid for the sins of all those who have and would believe in Him. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord is the permanent sacrifice and will be at the center of man's redemption all through eternity. Believe in Him, put all your trust in Him, He is the only way to life eternal in the presence of the Holy God!
Praise the Lord!
