| "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined." - Isaiah 9:2
"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, 'I am the light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.' " - John 8:12
From a spiritual sense, the secular world we live is in utter darkness. Only if we could see with spiritual eyes as God sees. The world is plunging into eternity of darkness and there is no hope outside of Jesus Christ. He came as the light of the world, fulfilling the prophecy of prophet Isaiah. Those who walked in darkness will see a great light and darkness will flee from this light. Jesus came that we may have the light of life. Those who put their trust in Him will never walk in darkness but will be surrounded by the great light. Our hope is in Jesus Christ who alone is the light of the world.
