| "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters." - Psalm 23:1-2
"I am the good shepherd ; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own." - John 10:14
"The Lord is my shepherd" is a very personal statement. It is acknowledging God to be our Master in a personal way. Jesus Christ, our Lord made the claim in one of the "I AM" statements in the gospel according to John. We are assured by our Lord that those who know Him as their Shepherd, He knows them and He laid down His life for them. Our God is a God of love and He displayed it on the cross by dying for the sins of His people. Are you able to say in a personal way, "The Lord is my shepherd"? He only can satisfy all our inner voids that nothing in this world can fill.
