"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." - 1 Peter 5:8
Only if our eyes were opened to let us see the spiritual realm that surrounds us. Well the Bible tells us about what surrounds us even though our eyes don't see the principalities and power that wrestle against us. Satan is the enemy of every believer in Jesus Christ. He has determined to destroy the church starting with our homes and families. Hence we constantly face many temptations and these are all the traps of Satan to make us fall and stumble. Our hope is in Christ who conquered the world and the sin in it. We ought to be vigilant and we can do that by immersing ourselves with the word of God and meditating in the wisdom it offers. As the saying by D.L. Moody goes... "The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible". Let's not give devil the opportunity to deceive and devour us. We have our great conqueror Jesus Christ on our side.
