"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it." - Matthew 7:13

The Lord knows the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish. When we see this way from our world's point of view, the path to destruction looks attractive, but the end therein is sorrow and destruction. The narrow path may not look attractive now but those who endure shall reap the reward.
