"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23 Man is a slave of sin in his natural state. It is like a disease that everyone have which ultimately leads to physical death. God gave us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Christ made us (those who believe in Him) free from the bondage of sin. Even though we still have the natural state as long as we live in our mortal bodies, one day all believers shall rise to everlasting life. Those who die without Christ will die without hope awaiting the second death, which is eternal separation from God. As dreadful the thought is of being eternally separated from God, it is true. There is only one chance now in this life. If it was not serious Jesus wouldn't have paid with His death. Praise God for our salvation through Jesus Christ!
