"He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"" - Matthew 16:15 "and if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart the God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Roman 10:9 Becoming a Christian is not about a ritual or a feeling someone experiences, but it is about what you believe about Christ and your relationship to Him. To receive the free gift of salvation, first in our heart we acknowledge our sinfulness and our helplessness to save ourselves. Christ is the answer to our salvation. With our mouth we confess Christ as the Son of God who died for our sin and won the victory over death by rising from the dead the third day. Unless we believe in the deity of Christ and His work on the cross, all other efforts are useless. Who do you say Christ is? Praise God! "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! |
