"For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David." - 1 Kings 11:4

"Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches - feed me with the food allotted to me; lest I be full and deny You, and say, "Who is the Lord?" Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God." - Proverbs 30:8-9

God had twice appeared to Solomon and granted him more than what he asked. Sadly, Solomon forgot God's goodness in His latter part of life and he was not loyal to God as was his father David. When we seek the desires of our heart and become full with materialistic stuff, our heart is prone to wander away from the Lord, and even forget Him. Don't let the world deceive you, but walk in the way of the Lord and cling to Him. There is no joy greater than from the presence of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with our God. Be content with God's provision and if He gives you more, use it back for His glory.
Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
