"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." - Matthew 5 V8

"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." - 1 John 3 V2

The Bible teaches that no one has ever seen God and lived, and it also teaches that the pure in heart shall see God. But who is pure in heart? For there is none righteous, no, not one. The exchange happened at the cross when Jesus bled and died. He took upon Himself the sin of the world and by doing so He gave us (those who believe in Him) His righteousness and made us pure in heart in the sight of God. Though we cannot live a perfect life on earth due to our original sin nature, we will live a pure life in the presence of God one day and there will be no sin. When our Lord is revealed, we shall be like Him and we shall see our God and Saviour as He is. Praise God!
