"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." - Exodus 20 V2, 3

"Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." " - Matthew 22 V37-40

The first commandment God gave is to have no other gods in our lives but Him alone. Likewise God gave nine other commandments all centred around our love for Him and our neighbour. Jesus summarized the ten commandments into two, that is, to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbour as we would love ourselves. If only mankind had followed these two commandments diligently the world would have been a different place. But we learn from the scriptures that the world will continue to grow wicked until the end because of man's love for self and pride. Jesus taught us the greatest commandment and He commanded His followers to live by this commandment. In the world we live in, let us keep the commandment of Christ first and live every moment serving our Saviour. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
