"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey." - Zechariah 9 V9

"...He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth. In His humiliation His justice was taken away, and who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth." - Acts 8 V 32, 33

The religious leaders did not expect their King and Messiah to come sitting on a donkey, but they were expecting something more spectacular from their Messiah to overthrow the Roman rule. Jesus was humble and lowly and this caused many to not believe and they crucified Him on the cross. Yet in all His suffering Jesus did not curse or confront His persecutors, but He opened not His mouth and in humiliation He suffered and died. Jesus offers us salvation by His perfect sacrifice on the cross. Receive the King of kings in your heart for behold your King has come to you. By rising from the dead He proved that He is King indeed. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
