"I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." - Acts 26 V17, 18

"But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus..." - Ephesians 2 V4-7

On the way to Damascus Paul met the living Saviour Jesus Christ, whom he was persecuting before this, and Paul's life was changed and He preached to the Gentiles and proclaimed God's salvation to those in darkness after his conversion. A person before knowing Christ is in the power of Satan, and without Christ there is no hope. Christ came to give hope to those who are in darkness that by believing in Him people can receive forgiveness of sins and an everlasting inheritance. All that is required is to receive Christ by faith and God will, as He promised, give everlasting life together with Christ. As simple as this may sound, but it is profound beyond human imagination, and that's why we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
