There was a big exchange at the foot of the cross where Jesus died. God poured His wrath on Christ for the sin of the world and He offered His Son's righteousness to those who freely receive His grace through Jesus Christ. As profound as this is, God sees His Son's righteousness in a sinner who just believed in His Son. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Christ rose from the dead the third day and He won victory over death and all those who are in Christ will also live with Christ all through eternity.
