"So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ." - Acts 5 V41, 42

"But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake." " - Acts 9 V15, 16

The apostles and all the followers of Christ in the 1st century were willing to suffer for the sake of Christ. They daily in the temple, and in every house, did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. A radical change came into the lives of these believers, not because they were talked into some fairy tale, but, because they witnessed the risen Saviour and the power of the Holy Spirit came upon them. Today in our churches suffering for Christ is not a popular message any more, but rather, prosperity gospel is popular and people do not live a committed Christian life. When the Lord Jesus Christ chose Paul, He showed Paul how much he will have to suffer for His sake. Paul was beheaded for Christ's sake and he lives with Christ today. Let us also remain committed to the calling of our ministry. Let us glorify Christ and in whatever ministry we are called, let us remain faithful and present ourselves freely and let the Holy Spirit use us for the glory of Christ. Praise God!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
