"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has appointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." - Luke 4 V18, 19

Jesus Christ came into the world to set the captives free and to deliver those who sat in the shadow of death. Jesus is the Light of this world and His light shines on those who believe in His name and live in fellowship with Him. Praise the Lord for the gift of salvation and for the liberty we receive through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are no more slaves to sin, but we are free in Christ and our Lord paid the price with His own blood. Praise the Lord!
