"And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God be merciful to me a sinner!' " - Luke 18 V13

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1 V9

Our Lord Jesus compared the tax collector and the pharisee, the latter a self proclaimed righteous man, but the tax collector a sinner, realizing his sinfulness and who repented of his sins. It is often easy to become self righteous and justify ourselves before God, but the fact of the matter is, no one is justified before God except when we come through Jesus Christ our Lord and with a repentant heart. When we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and give us a new life through His Son Jesus Christ. Come to the Saviour with a repentant heart and receive the grace which He offers freely to every sinner. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
