"each one's work will become clear, for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. " - 1 Corinthians 3 V13 "For what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ." - Philippians 3 V7 There are two kinds of treasure that man can lay up for himself that the Lord Jesus Christ described. One kind is the worldly treasure which gives us worldly pleasures but is short lived, whereas, the other treasure is something you invest now on earth but will be rewarded in heaven and this treasure will last for eternity. Our flesh and blood longs for earthly treasure, but the Spirit of God longs for heavenly treasure. The works of a believer in Christ will be revealed by fire and only true and sincere work will hold fast but everything else will burned up. Which treasure are you interested in? Can we boldly say like Paul did, "For what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ"? Praise the Lord!
"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! |
