"For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north;...' " - Isaiah 14 V13

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." - Philippians 2 V5-7

There is a striking contrast in the attitude of Lucifer (Satan) and in the way our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ remained obedient to our Father. It was pride that brought Satan down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit, and it was meekness and humbleness that exalted our Lord Jesus Christ above all heavens. Let us have the same mind in us as our Lord Christ Jesus, and let us not have any pride in us. The Bible teaches us that a man's pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honour (Proverbs 29 V23). Humble yourself before God and seek His mercy and grace. Praise the Lord!
