"But when he [Peter] saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, 'Lord, save me!' " - Matthew 14:30

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12"1-2

Jesus our Lord died for the sins of His people that those who believe in Him may have eternal life. Often times we live in the guilt of our past sins. Sin bogs us down and gives devil the opportunity to deprive us of the joy of our salvation, which our Lord purchased for us through His victory on the cross. Jesus endured the shame and He suffered once and for all, so we don't have to live in sin but in liberty of sin. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus always because while we are on earth we are still surrounded by the boisterous storms of life, and only looking unto Jesus can we endure the storms without sinning.
Praise the Lord!
