"For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:20

"in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight." - Colossians 1:22

The Scribes and Pharisees in the days of Jesus were very religious and they knew their old testament very well and most likely everything memorized. You couldn't find someone more religious than these men. Jesus described that in order for us to enter the kingdom of heaven we have to be more righteous than the Pharisees and the Scribes. But in that case who can enter the kingdom of heaven? Well, surely the Scribes and Pharisees even with their righteousness will not enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who trust in Christ and His righteousness, only those can enter the kingdom of heaven. With Christ's sacrifice He has made us blameless and righteous before God. The only requirement for us is to receive the free gift of salvation by believing in Christ and putting all your trust in Him and Him alone.
Praise God for making us righteous in Christ!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
