"He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth." - Isaiah 53 V7

"Then he (Herod) questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing." - Luke 23 V9

If someone were to be unjustly condemned to death surely that person would try everything to justify or plead his case in front of the judge. But in case of our Lord Jesus Christ, He opened not His mouth, because He knew He was fulfilling the will of the Father and for the very cause to die for the sin of the world was He born into this world. He was beaten and abused and His face was marred beyond recognition, but the Saviour of the world bore without a complain or a curse. He opened not His mouth and on the cross He prayed to the Father to forgive those who crucified Him. The prophets prophesied the kind of death Jesus would die and Jesus fulfilled the will of the Father. Let us thank God for the sacrifice of our Lord who through His death and provided us eternal life. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
