"Afterward the other virgins came also saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us! But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' " - Matthew 25 V11, 12

"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly." - Luke 21 V34

If Jesus Christ were to come today to take His Church, would you be ready for Him? A true and faithful believer would look and expect for the return of Jesus any day and any moment. The parable of the ten virgins remind us of a sad and tragic end of the five foolish virgins who slept while the bridegroom arrived. These virgins knew that the bridegroom could return any moment, but they were carried away and weighed down by the cares of this world and they were not ready. In fact they actually never put their faith in the bridegroom and thinking they were saved they were deceiving themselves. Many are like that today and are being deceived. Yes, people who claim to be Christians are lost today because they never put their trust and faith in Christ and just because they go to church and sing hymns or say a prayer, they think it is enough to please God. Christ is knocking at the door of the heart of His flock and He expects us to give our everything. Blessed are those who do not have a second thought but trust in the Saviour and have received Him into their heart as their Lord and Saviour. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
