"He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." - Proverbs 28 V13

"...Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." - Luke 5 V31, 32

One of the fundamental parts of salvation is humbling oneself and repenting. It takes a big step to acknowledge one's sinfulness and only the Holy Spirit of God can lead a person to take this first step. A man who is righteous in his own eyes can never enter the kingdom of God, and Jesus made it clear that He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. But the fact of the matter is, no one can stand righteous before God with one's own righteousness, for our righteousness is as filthy rags to God. Only the righteousness of Christ can save us and clothe us, and equip us to come in the presence of God, and all other efforts are futile. Confess your sins and turn to Jesus; ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Saviour. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
